First you will visit Kimberley - city of diamonds. It was founded in the end of XVIII century. It owes its intensive development and glory to discovery of giant diamond deposits in the end of XIX century. One of the attractions is The Big Hole. It is 800 meters deep former diamond mine. You can see village-museum which shows how people worked and lived those days.

In the evening you will eat dinner in an old-style restaurant.

PretoriaOn the next day you go to Johannesburg, also called The Gold City, and Pretoria. Johannesburg lies on over 90 gold mines area. For the night you will stay in Pilanesberg National Park. There you can see The Big Five, which are elephants, cheetah, rhinos, buffaloes and lions and also thousands of other animals and birds.

Near the park there is city of entertainment, sometimes called Las Vegas of South Africa, Sun City-Lost City. The Miss World Competitions have been organized there for five years. Pilanesberg and Sun City are examples of the differences between the world of money and splendor and the world of wildlife.

JohannesburgNext you will go to Blyde River Canyon. It is third as to greatness canyon in the world, situated among beautiful and majestic mountains. The canyon is up to 800 meters deep. Here you can admire unique rock form called Three Rondavels as well as the view from eastern end of the plateau called The God's Windows in the direction of Krueger Valley and Mozambique.

Next day you will experience the visit to Pilgrims Rest - the village of gold-diggers. In 1872 Alex Patterson discovered very rich gold fields there, later explored up to the end of 1972. Pilgrims RestThere is also museum, where in old-style buildings you can see how gold-diggers lived and worked in the past.

Then through lovely Victorian towns - Lydenburg, Belfast, Middelburg, you will go to the capital of South Africa - Pretoria. You will there visit hills and gardens of Parliament as well as Voortrekker Monument.

At the evening we predict arrival in Johannesburg Int. Airport and depart to Cape Town or Europe.
